Kids have such incredible instincts. They see things we cannot, and they're in touch with things we've forgotten how to touch. As we grow into adults, it can be easy to lose a childlike wonder, a curiosity about the world. When everything is beautiful and nascent it's easier to be curious about. Adulthood and even adolescence shapes us in such a way that we sometimes lose that sense of ourselves, that sense that the world is a magical fairytale just waiting for us to poke and prod at it. Sometimes that sort of childlike wonder can actually be incredibly insightful. They teach us things about the world we either never knew or never thought about. That's the best part about children, and this aunt really reaped the benefit of having a young and curious niece.
